As of my last update, the CAT exam pattern is as follows:

Section One: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)

Section Two: Quantitative Ability (QA)

Section three: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)

Time: Each section is given 40 minutes and two hours (120 minutes) will be the total duration.

Total Questions: VARC 24 questions + QA 22 questions + and 20 questions = 76 questions will be all together.

Question Types: generally CAT exam tests objective types of questions with four options and some of them will be TITA (Type in The Answer).

Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, candidates score positive marks, and there is a negative marking for wrong answers in MCQs. No negative marking is applied to non-MCQs.
